this is a traditional dish for breakfast in Afghanistan also, but we do slightly different. We cook the tomatoes first for about 7-10 minutes or until almost dry in oil, add some salt to the tomatoes about 6-9 minutes into cooking, then add the eggs, about 1 1/2 tomatoes per 2 eggs, then add some chilli for flavour and serve with green tea and bread. :)

@sw33tk1w1 Oil and sugar are not unhealthy, it is eating TOO much of them that is. If you eat different foods in moderation you should be able to enjoy just about anything.

I spent my early childhood in Hong Kong and I've never heard of this dish so I was excited to try it. It tasted kind of bland. :( I followed the instructions as closely as I could, although I omitted the optional chicken powder and used much less oil. Could that be why mine turned out rather tasteless? I also had it with plain rice which might have watered down the taste even more. :P Anyway, thank you for the video! :D I'll most likely keep trying to make this until I get it right! XD

Bland?? Try this version.....1) Use free ranch chicken eggs...taste a lot better. 2) Tomatos in HK/China taste bland. Try using Italian tomatos that comes in a can !! those meant for paste sauce taste a lot better.3) Season with Kosher salt and 2-3 spoons of clover honey. Guys, life will never be the same.....
